Just had the pleasure to read your poems here, Lockie. I read a regular amount of poetry and, sometimes, I don't get what the author is trying to say. Yours, on the other hand, strike an immediate resonant chord deep under the superficial, into the very depths of the soul. Your words are often simple, but powerful, and that is where the quality of your messages lie. Thanks for sharing. I'll be reading them again, for sure. Take care. Warm regards, Barry.

Thanks Barry. That means a lot to me. Sometimes I will write a piece because I just have to get the words out of my head and down on 'paper' so to speak. Your very kind message makes the sometimes turmoil all worthwhile.

Yes, I know the feeling. I've lost many poems because I failed to jump up at that moment and scribble it down, or at least the first few lines. Sometimes it almost seems like it comes from another dimension, because when it's gone, it's often gone for good. Look forward to reading Ryan's Legend - a children's book for adults too?
Subject: Ryan's Legend
Found your short story on Allan Hudson's BlogSpot. Loved it. Read the intro for Ryan's Legend and you got me at the chicken coop. I grew up in a rural area in Southwestern Ont, and my sister and I were experimenting with Eddy Matches and a bucket of straw inside the small wooden enclosure. No chickens were killed, but the coop went up in flames. I would never have remembered this without reading your novel blurb. Keep me posted on when your book will be out.

Thanks Connie. I expect Ryan's Legend to be out in E-book form on December 1st 2013. It should be available in Chapters, Amazon, and Kindle E-book stores.

Thanks so much Darlene. Sometimes I don't think the poetry is very good at all, but I like to write it and the most important thing is that you, the reader like it.
